Where Are the Women Chief Revenue Officers?

Women Chief Revenue OfficersAn HR executive from a top company sent me a note. His tech company was on a major search for a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). They wanted to look at any female candidates because inclusion at the top is important to them. They wanted female candidates and had none.

Who did I know and who could I recommend?

I was stumped.

My knowledge of women CROs and Worldwide Heads of Sales was limited to a handful of women I’d met, been connected to, or been introduced to in the last year on my search to help get more women into B2B sales and sales leadership. I had little to offer. They ended up hiring a great guy – and I couldn’t stop thinking about how few women CROs I knew of.

With the jarring statistic from DiscoverOrg’s recent data that only 12.8% of top sales leaders are women, here is a “first take” on who the women CROs are that we could find through some research and through LinkedIn connections. It is not all-encompassing, in fact I’d love for anyone who is or knows a female CRO and not on this list to be shared through our Twitter handle @WOMENSalesPros and we’ll add them in.  We will create a second list with Worldwide Head of Sales.
